COVID-19

  • What is your Coronavirus (COVID-19) policy?
    • The Heny Sison Culinary School’s top priority is the health and safety of our students, instructors, faculty, and community. 

      In response to the ongoing pandemic and our return to in-person instruction, the school closely monitors and adheres to the Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF) guidance. Henceforth, we are implementing strict protocols for all our class guests, faculty, and staff.
     
    • GENERAL COVID-19 COMPANY POLICIES

    • Vaccination

    • All community members are required to be COVID-19 vaccinated and must have at least one booster shot. 

    • Face Coverings 

    • Face masks shall be worn by all community members within the school at all times, unless eating or drinking. 

    • Physical Distancing

    • All community members are advised to minimize their movements within the school. Students are required to stay within the classroom premises. 

    • Daily Self Monitoring

    • All community members should self-monitor their health before coming to school. If a community member has an unexpected or worsening COVID-19-related symptom, they are required to take precautionary measures and remain off campus. 

    • Students experiencing COVID-19-related symptoms are advised to contact the school immediately. 

    • We expect and appreciate your compliance with these guidelines.

GENERAL FAQS

  • Do you conduct private classes and events?
    • Yes. We can customize special culinary classes, such as corporate and family team-building sessions, according to your needs. For inquiries, please see our PRIVATE EVENTS page.
  • Am I recognized as a chef after attending the Essentials Program?
    • No. Please note that the Philippines does not have an accreditation center for Chefs. The title is earned through recognition of your achievements and experience, which are honored by esteemed leaders, peers, and authorities in the industry.
  • Does a student have to have some prior knowledge or experience before enrolling in a class?
    • Our classes are designed for all levels. However, some of our Lifestyle classes have pre-requisites.
  • Is there an age limit to attending any of your classes?
    • No. Please note that the Philippines does not have an accreditation center for Chefs. The title is earned through recognition of your achievements and experience, which are honored by esteemed leaders, peers, and authorities in the industry.

    • Yes, gift certificates are available for pre-order. Email us at  info@henysison.com

Enrollment

  • How do I enroll in a class?
    • SIGNING UP
    • Sign-up for your chosen on-site class by clicking SIGN UP, which will direct you to the Student Sign-up Form that you need to fill-out. You will then receive an acknowledgment email confirming your sign-up along with instructions on how to complete your enrollment. If you have signed up for a class and have not received a confirmation within 3 days, please email info@henysison.com so we can help you out.
    • COMPLETE YOUR ENROLLMENT
    • To complete your enrollment, the student must pay in full. Please send your proof of payment within one (1) banking day. Enrollment is on a first-come-first-served basis as we have a class cap.

    • Full account details will be sent via email once sign-up is completed.
  • What are your payment terms?
    • All classes should be paid in full. An installment payment option is only available for the Essential Series.

Online Classes

  • How long will an online class take?
    • The Hybrid classes are 1.5 to 2.5 hours long, while the Live classes can last for a maximum of 3-4.5 hours.
  • What is the difference between Live and Hybrid online classes?
    • Live classes are recipe demonstration classes done in real-time.Hybrid classes are pre-recorded recipe demonstrations with live instructor Q &A.
  • Can I get a recorded video copy of the class demo?
    • We do not give out video recordings of the class demo. If you need some clarification or further explanations regarding the lesson, our instructors would be happy to address them. Please email your questions to info@henysison.com.

Attendance

  • What if I cannot attend or need to withdraw from the online class I enrolled in?
    • Please note that we do not offer refunds for classes that you’re unable to attend. Upon your enrollment, you would have already received a copy of the Class Handout.
  • For Online Classes, what is your policy for latecomers?
    • Our classes start on time, so we recommend that you log in at least fifteen (15) minutes early to be able to test your audio and video before being admitted to the Zoom session. Please note that we do not offer refunds for tardiness.
