Cecile Park
When Chef Cecile moved to the Philippines in the ‘80s, she started her own restaurant, Silla, in Quezon City. She attributes the restaurant’s success to her utmost sincerity when it comes to preparing food, insisting that everything must be made with love. “I believe many Filipinos enjoy Korean food because our dishes are very healthy and fresh! If there’s one Korean dish I couldn’t live without, it’s definitely bibimbap. And oh, kimchi. It makes such a good appetizer with every international dish.”Chef Cecile teaches because she is keen on imparting her knowledge of Korean food to curious and eager students. Just like her native cuisine, Chef Cecile’s teaching style is simple but exciting. Her methods are easy to follow, but the outcome is always surprising, complex, and packed with flavor.
