Chef Alex’s culinary adventure spans continents. Having started in his hometown in Burgos in Spain, he has cooked for various restaurants in Madrid, Europe, and Asia. His mastery of the art of Spanish cooking has allowed him to develop his own food culture that is deliciously innovative yet lusciously tasteful and sophisticated. Currently, the executive chef at Deo Gracias, a Spanish restaurant in Quezon City, chef Alex del Hoyo also teaches authentic Spanish cooking as well as his own nouvelle Spanish-inspired modern recipes. As he shares, “I want everyone to understand the origins, history, and roots of Spanish cuisine so they can own it and be able to play with it and cook it into their own culinary lives.”
