Chef Patty worked as an advertising executive for some time before jumping into the food industry. Since her childhood, she has been cooking and baking and had her first baking class with Sylvia Reynoso-Gala. She met Heny Sison almost by fate when she accidentally walked into her class. Two years later, she took various culinary classes later on enrolling in our Essentials of Cooking Series, where she graduated as a Silver Spoon Awardee. The Silver Spoon Award is granted to the best student who possesses the passion and ethics of an exemplary culinarian.

In 2009, she hosted a TV show, Word of Mouth, alongside Chef Sandy Daza, and is now a contributing writer for Appetite magazine. She also does food catering and consultancy, and on the side, Chef Patty teaches special classes for SPED High Functioning Individuals.

Chef Patty has been teaching with the Heny Sison Culinary School for over ten years, saying that although she comes home after every class very exhausted, “I am extremely fulfilled at the end of the day. They say when you teach, you learn twice. I learn from every class. I always pray I do a good job before I even walk into school. I still get anxious, so I study beforehand. I just love doing it."

She continues to teach because she believes she has something to share with people who want to pursue their passions. "I want to be a teacher who is able to make students think instead of just relying on a piece of paper with a recipe on it.”
